Some Thoughts

This morning we awoke to the sad news that a little two year old girl was found dead, apparently murdered.

I cannot fathom the motivation behind a crime like this...what a world.

My heart hurts for those who have been deprived of this happy little life.

It has me thinking though about a popular saying supposedly based on the bible.

Maybe you have heard it...

"God won't give you more than you can handle..."

This quote is no where in the bible but at times like this, it's often heard in order to bring comfort in the midst of chaos.

I think we ALREADY live in a world that is too much to handle.

Horrible, horrible things happen every day.  Things we cannot even imagine or choose to ignore.

But they happen nonetheless, and yet we continue to live on.

This is the world we live in, it's awful and beautiful all at the same time.

How do we live here?

Suffering is universal to all.  The degree of heartache varies from person to person.

I can only conclude that we have to be here for each other to get through it, and to hopefully prevent anything like this from ever, ever happening again.
